This hard maple had warped in the kiln (large oven for drying wood) and was in a throwaway pile at the mill. I couldn't pass at the chance of turning this rejected hardwood into a living room or bedroom centerpiece. This table is the result of sawing, joining, planing and sanding this warped and cracked wood. The end table is rustic and farmhouse. The epoxy inlay adds a modern, sleek touch. It is protected with Rubio Monocoat, one of the best wood finishes on the market.
